Privacy notice

Your enquiry

The contact form collects your name, email address or Telegram handle, project description, and any service or budget details you choose to provide. Jean uses this information to answer your enquiry and discuss the project. Do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.

How it reaches me

Cloudflare hosts this website, processes the form request and keeps each request in a database, so that none is lost if an email fails. Resend delivers the message to my email inbox. These providers process the information needed to deliver the website and your message. No enquiry is published in the portfolio.

If you turn analytics off

If you turn analytics off in the cookie settings, the site only counts anonymous visits: which pages are opened, where visitors come from, what they click, how far they scroll, how fast pages load, and the visitor’s country. Nothing is stored in your browser for this, pages are not joined up, and IP addresses are not kept.

The site itself uses temporary browser session storage for page transitions. The hosting provider may process technical request information for security and delivery.

Analytics, on by default

Analytics: the jd_vid cookie (one year) recognises a returning visit, so I can see the path to a request, and the city is added to the visit.

PostHog collects events and heatmaps.

Session recordings: how you scroll and click. Input fields and the request form are hidden in them.

Where it is kept

The site, the requests and the event log: Cloudflare. Request emails: Resend.

Analytics tools: PostHog.

How long

Requests: while the project runs, or until you ask me to delete them. The event log: up to two years.

Your choices

Analytics run from your first visit. You can turn them off at any time in “Settings” in the cookie notice or with the “Cookies” button at the bottom of the page.

You can contact me directly instead of using the form. To see or delete what is kept about you, or to ask about your enquiry, email hello@jeanwwd.com. Your contact details are not used for marketing mailings.

Clients of the hosting service

For the hosting subscription I process the contact details and company details of the client, invoices and payment records, and the content of the client's site. They are used to provide the service, to issue invoices and receipts and to meet accounting duties.

Who else processes them

The site and the content panel run on Cloudflare, Vercel and Neon; email is delivered by Resend; card payments are processed by TipTop Pay or ForteBank; I correspond by email and Telegram. Some of these providers process data outside Kazakhstan. Card numbers are not stored by me.

How long they are kept

For the term of the agreement and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data by email, within the limits of these duties.

Clients of one-off work

For design and development work I process the contact and company details of the client, the materials the client sends, invoices, contracts and acts. They are used to do the work, to issue documents and to meet accounting duties, and are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
